Regarding my last post, i wanna ask you about the Disney Eras..

(what i posted wasn’t a personal opinion, it’s a fact published by Disney)

I want to know your opinions about this, i know that a lot of you said stuff like ‘why is ***** in Dark Ages, it was amazing’ i just want you guys to keep in mind that Disney itself put these Eras, regarding the sales, success, profits and quality, and those movies in the Dark Ages are, in fact, less good than the others !

PIXAR IS NOT INCLUDED because Disney eras are only of the classic 53 Disney loves that are made by Disney Animation Studios only.

I have couple of questions…

  • Do you think Disney is going through a New Renaissance ?
  • If yes, do you think it started with Frozen or before or yet to start ?
  • Do you think there is a movie that doesn’t belong to its era ?
  • How do you feel about Disney going into a new Era without 2D animation ?

Personal opinion :

  • Do you think Disney is going through a New Renaissance ?
  • If yes, do you think it started with Frozen or before ?

I think Disney is definitely going into a new Renaissance, i think it’s legit to say that it’s starting with Frozen, but i can easily say that Disney’s new success started with Tangled, followed by Winnie the Pooh, Wreck it Ralph and now Frozen.
You should put in mind that it can’t be decided that Disney is going through a new Renaissance (or a successful era in general) from only one movie ! that’s why Tangled and Wreck it Ralph were the beginning of the thought itself, then Frozen closed the deal (i think).
And now there are more movies to come like Big Hero 6, Zootopia and Moana that should prove themselves.

  • Do you think there is a movie that doesn’t belong to its era ?

Oliver & Company, it belongs to the Renaissance imo, but i actually completely understand why it wasn’t included, it just started the idea of the Renaissance, The Little Mermaid was just the deal breaker that saved Disney, not Oliver & Company, so i understand ! Still O&C was beyond great

  • How do you feel about Disney going into a new Era without 2D animation ?

I’m a 2D hardcore fan, but i’m completely fine with it not being in the new Renaissance ! i just hope Disney will take advantage of the new success and make a 2D movie between all the CGI ones, and even if it won’t be that successful (which i doubt) the CGI ones will cover it, i just think that it’s a risk that Disney should take.

What you guys think ?
